We’re getting ready to invite you to apply to participate in the fifth Toowoomba Studio Art Trail in 2027.

 

Our goal is to build and nurture the artistic community of Toowoomba. Being part of the Trail is not only a wonderful opportunity to make some extra income on your own terms, it’s a pathway to becoming part of our vibrant arts community, expanding your profile and connecting with a much wider audience.

Opening your studio gives visitors the opportunity to see where and how you create, meet you personally and gain a deeper understanding of your work. These personal connections can lead to sales, commissions, future workshop opportunities and new relationships with collectors and art lovers.

The Toowoomba Studio Art Trail is a chance to open the door, share your creative world and invite people to discover the artist behind the artwork.

Some key requirements:

• Your studio space must be in the 4350 postcode location

• Your studio can be in a garage or shed or part of your home, however it must be a working studio so that visitors can view your work areas, mediums and processes. A bit of mess makes it more interesting.

• Your studio must be accessible for people to enter safely (it's a bonus if you can accommodate wheelchairs and wheelie walkers)

• You can opt to share a studio with a friend as long as it fits all the above requirements (max 2 artists per studio)

• You must have an active social media presence

• You must be a team player - willing to distribute brochures, erect corflute signs, promote on social media, take part in fun photo shoots, participate in the meetings and social events before and after the Trail and generally have fun with us

• Any profit you make during the Trail is yours to keep; there is a one-off entry fee

• Preference is given to those who are willing to open their studios every weekend in September

• No halls, galleries, groups or retail spaces.

• Selection is based on the quality of your work, suitability of your studio space and the variation of mediums (we'd love more textiles, lead-lighting, ceramics etc)
