Jeanne Cotter
SOFT PASTEL / FLORALS & LANDSCAPES / SOFT PASTEL TUTOR
Exclusively a soft pastel artist, Jeanne’s subject of choice varies between genres including florals, still life and landscapes, with her most recent works focusing on natives and gum blossoms.
This year Jeanne is Feature Artist at Downlands Art Show; 20 - 25 September 2025. Be sure to visit her there as well as in her studio.

Cindy MacDonald
OIL PAINTER / CHARCOAL PORTRAITS & ANIMALS / CHARCOAL & OIL TUTOR
Cindy is a skilled and talented portrait artist using both oils and charcoal. "I have always loved to draw and paint, as a child I would draw my favourite animals, birds and pets and people and I still love those subjects. To be able to find that “essence”, that divine spark within us and to reveal that through my art is my constant passion and aim."

Maryika Welter
FIGURATIVE / ABSTRACT / REPRESENTATIONAL
Maryika is a mixed media artist with 35 years of experience, working on both small and large scale canvases and paper. She represented Australia at the Florence Biennale in 2009. Recently, she has been experimenting with paper collage and upcycling glass. Maryika has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, artist residencies, and has received many awards and accolades.

Elise Heather
TEXTILE / MIXED MEDIA / SCULPTURE
Elise Heather is a mixed media and textile artist who creates sculptural pieces inspired by nature, the unseen & forgotten and her experiences with neurodiversity.
Elise is a self taught artist who has developed her own techniques of mixing discarded materials with upcycled items to create her art. She shows her works at solo exhibitions around SEQLD as well as local art events.​​

Catherine Ketton
OIL PAINTER / PRINTMAKING / TUTOR
"I am a self taught Toowoomba artist and teacher working with oils and moving towards a realistic rendition of the Australian Landscape. I have been doing some printmaking recently and experimenting with abstraction.
I have exhibited widely and won a number of awards. I enjoy leading workshops and personal tutorials."

Sabine Kehoe
OIL PAINTER / LANDSCAPE - STILL LIFE - FLORALS
An active member of the Toowoomba Art Society, Sabine’s portfolio boasts a range of exhibitions, from solo displays in Brisbane and Toowoomba to shared showcases at the TAS. Her works have garnered acclaim at prestigious events such as the Brisbane Rotary Art Spectacular, Brisbane Art Extravaganza, Grammar School Art Exhibition, Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers, Downlands and Facets of Fairholme.

Jen Marshall
WATERCOLOUR / ACRYLIC / MIXED MEDIA - ANIMALS & FLORALS
Jen’s connection to the land and earth is reflected in her paintings. She loves to paint landscapes, animals (especially bees) and florals. Jen enjoys exploring and sitting with the spiritual side of her subjects. She uses many mediums, and her style reflects a looseness and accidental quality making her paintings lively, free and fun. She hopes her paintings bring as much joy to the viewers as they do to her, the creator.

Karen Canning
ENCAUSTIC WAX / WIRE / MIXED MEDIA / ACRYLIC
Karen Canning is a passionate artist with over 20 years of experience in creating a diverse range of artworks. Specialising in encaustic wax/mixed media and wire artworks, creativity is at the core of Karen’s being, and she thrives on crafting beautiful and cherished pieces from the unexpected. With multiple projects in progress simultaneously, her studio may appear chaotic to some, but for Karen, it is a place where she finds energy and endless ideas.

Mary Deutscher
CERAMICIST FUNCTIONAL & DECORATIVE
Mary is a full time ceramicist. Her work can be seen in her Mary Street studio, garden and undercover display area where browsers are welcome, workshops are given and commissions are discussed. She also retails at several high-end gift stores in Toowoomba.Mary believes in keeping up with current ceramic trends and has recently spent time in Ubud, Bali with Swiss born ceramic artist Susan Kohlik.

Ute Braatz's artistic journey is often described as a surreal montage, while capturing the humorous nuances of existence with a unique blend of wit and creativity. At the heart of Braatz's work are her quirky beings, each one a testament to her boundless imagination. Her creations come to life with a vibrant narrative that invites viewers into a world of endless possibility. Through her art, Braatz challenges conventional notions of reality, inviting viewers to embrace the absurd and find beauty in the unexpected.

Charmaine Searle
JEWELLER / CERAMICIST / PAINTER
Charmaine is a Toowoomba based Artist/Maker, formally trained as a Jeweller and Ceramicist. She studied Ceramics at the Casey Institute of TAFE (Vic), then studied at the Queensland College of Art, majoring in Gold and Silversmithing.
After a lengthy period of time focusing on raising her family, she has recently reignited her passion for the painting process, in both watercolour, oils and wearable art.​

Darls Lister

Darls is a self-taught, emerging artist whose work spans sculptures, still life, floral, landscapes, abstracts, portraits, and animals. Embracing diverse mediums, Darls' creative process is driven by exploration, emotion, and growth.

Serge and Leisa enjoy creating vintage home and cottage garden inspired pieces.
Serge is busy with his woodwork skills and Leisa slow stitching using vintage and antique fabric and lace.

Sharon Roberts
PAINTING / EXPRESSIVE LANDSCAPE
Sharon Roberts is best known for her lyrical multi-layered artworks, nuanced colour, and contemplative landscapes. Primarily a painter, her studio based practice often extends beyond the paintbrush.
Sharon's recent exhibition “Temporal Echo” (2025, Poatina, Tasmania) combined painting, photography, poetry and sound in response to a particular place and time.
